You work for the hypercorp Skinthetic, a company operating out of Extropia that focuses on the genetics, biotech, and cloning industries. You are also one of the leaders in biomorphs designs, but with a much sleazier reputation than your main rival Skinaethesia, and not just because of your anarcho-capitalist roots. Specializing in extensive and often radical bio-modifications, the hypercorp pushes the envelope in exotic pod and biomorph designs under the mantle of morphological freedom. Bioconservatives have condemned the corporation’s business practices and ethics and have even leveled accusations that Skinthetic is experimenting with xenogenetic materials acquired from the Factors. Skinthetic’s cavalier attitude actually makes them popular in many parts of the outer system, and they are know as the biotech corp to go to if you want something weird.
Almost any kind of character concept is acceptable, so long as they work for or fulfill some sort of function within the Skinthetics corporation. You could be a morph designer, a gene-hacker, or a bio-sculptor, a corporate PR representative, a door-to-door morph salesman, an experimental morph tester, an in-house security operative, almost anything you can think of. Though there is one restriction; you must be human. None of the characters are allowed to be uplifts (intelligent animals) or artificial intelligences (AGIs).
In addition to creating a concept for your character, you must also choose your character’s background, faction, and starting morph. Looking through the list of available options could spark an idea for a concept; there is no set order that these choices must be made in.
